Here at Pro Elite, we love every second we coach, seeing the progression in each superstar is wonderful to see. We change our sessions each week to ensure our children are able to practice different aspects of football and movement.
Over the course of the weekend, we had over 50 sessions, 26 matches and so much fun! We had one of the cutest moments ever at one of our sessions too! Yet another great weekend here at Pro Elite, read about everything we got up to below!
Indoor Football Sessions
In our toddler football classes this weekend the main focus was improving movements and confidence. Our movement activity saw us pretending to be different animals whilst moving, this engaged them in doing the movements. After this, we then had an activity which saw them scoring a lot of goals whilst practising different coordination skills.
In our 3-5-year-old classes, we worked on teamwork and also our close control. Our first activity saw us using teamwork to collect cones for our team which created excitement and helped with each superstar’s coordination skills. Then we worked on dribbling with the football through cones. This allowed us to teach keeping the football close with “little kicks” and to encourage them to want to manoeuvre in and out of cones. Check out some of the goals our superstars scored this weekend here, it was so cute!
In our oldest indoor football sessions our 5-7 classes, we worked on our close control and our 1v1 abilities. We ensured that during the close control activity, each individual was moving fast to make it more game realistic. We always encourage our children to move quickly whilst dribbling so they can get used to it. Then in our 1v1’s we wanted to encourage quick movements and skills to get past your opponent to score.
Development Football Sessions
In our development sessions, our main focus is to love the football and learn how to compete. This is why we have so many individual ball work activities and competitive small-sided games to encourage them to compete with one another. As our development sessions get our superstars ready for our teams, we want to make sure they are ready to compete with one another as our internal league is very competitive.
