This week was one to remember! From practising our “little kicks” to playing a professional academy! We have got up to so much this week we want to shout about it!
Indoor Football Sessions
At our indoor sessions, we had many different focuses for our different age groups. In our toddler classes this week we focused on lots of different movements and lots of FUN! We wanted to ensure we incorporate mastering different movements with fun. It was amazing to see so many of our little superstars progressing each week.
In our 3-5-year-old class, we worked on teamwork and tried some new skills. It is important to have team working skills from a young age as it is a skill that you will use throughout your life, especially in football. We also worked on some new skills with the football, to increase confidence and also ability. It is important that our superstars learn new skills to keep them progressing each week.
In our oldest indoor classes, we worked on overloads with the ball. When it comes to our 5-7-year-old classes we want them to learn how to compete. In this case, 2v1’s happen all the time in football and it is good to improve their understanding of different situations in football. It went really well and shows how far our children have come in those sessions.
Development Football Sessions
In our development sessions, we are getting our superstars ready to play in our fantastic teams. We must make sure they learn to compete with one another and love football. We want to reinforce improving technical ability with the ball as well as keeping it fun and competitive. Our development sessions mean so much to us and each week we see so much improvement.

Both of our external league teams played games this weekend and represented Pro Elite amazingly. Coach J said that his team played their best football of the season but narrowly lost their game. Coach Nick’s team was also on the losing side, but also played some fantastic football which means that there are improvements to be made during training.
Check out what we got up to at Arsenal’s Academy!
