On Saturday 23rd of April, one of our own signed for Tottenham Hotspur.

Ernest joined Pro Elite Football Academy when he was 4 years old, starting in our 3-5 group before moving up to our 5-7’s and then into our U7 teams.

Ernest is the greatest example of talent mixed with a great attitude to learn and be coached. Not only is he a superstar in terms of footballing ability, he is a superstar in how he carries himself, how respectful he is and how coachable he is. He truly is a credit to his parents and we are so proud that he is now representing us on the biggest of stages.

The best part of it all? Coach Ali can still watch him week in week out and still play a role in his development.

The signing day was fantastic. A tour of the brand new Tottenham Stadium, signing his contract in the press conference room that is used by Antonio Conte and a little walk around the famous pitch that the likes of Harry Kane play on every week. But that wasn’t all, there was a couple of surprises left…

When Ernest walked into the changing rooms, his name was up in lights. Right where Harry Kane sits, there was a shirt with Ernest’s name on the back. A perfect representation of where he can be in 10 years if he continues working hard and listening as well as he does.
