  • Football sessions for children to do at home!

Coach Ali has put together a programme that allows you to put on football sessions for your children to do at home, to help them get ahead!

First of all, a ball and a wall is all you need. With so much variation to what you can do, there is no excuse to get them working and developing!

Different “ball & wall” practises that your little one can use to improve daily

First touch variations:

1. “Two touch” with the wall, passing and controlling with the same foot. (repeat on other foot) 2. “Two touch” passing and controlling with alternative feet.

First touch variations 2:

3. “Three touch” touch, shift and pass (again with same repetitions.

-> add in ball roll controls as a progression.

–> add in different parts of the foot to control and pass with.

—> start with the ball in the air and use different parts to control.

Dribbling variations:

1. Dribbling away from the wall, turning and passing to receive.

-> dribble towards the wall, turn out & dribble again before passing.

2. Same as above but add in a T-Shape turn at the top, for change-of-direction.

-> add in different turns

Weight of pass variations:

1. Change distance to receive from the wall (smaller gaps, larger gaps).

2. Dribble and pass at angle to bounce off of the wall for a “through ball”

Enjoy the sessions and let us know how you get on!
