This week we had over 50 sessions, all of our teams played and our U11s played against Watford’s Academy! It was such an amazing week which had so many fantastic moments from superstars as young as 18 months to our 11-year-olds playing against a professional academy
Indoor Football Sessions
This weekend we had our sessions up and running again after our short easter break. We couldn’t wait to get back to coaching and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
In our youngest classes, our 18 months to 3 years and our 3 to 5-year-old classes we saw so many cute and fantastic moments! We had a big focus this week on mastering different movements as we think it is very important at a young age. There was also a big focus on scoring goals as it is such a big confidence booster! When we see a little superstar’s face light up when scoring a goal, it makes our day! For the children to enjoy their football sessions is the main thing and there is not much that is better than scoring a goal!In our older indoor classes, our focus was 1v1s this week. During our sessions, we look to create small battles so that the superstars can be ready to compete when they move up to different classes. It is very important to do this because it means that any fear they may have goes away. Then during matches when they have these battles, they can compete with confidence knowing what they are doing. We would love for each of our 5-7s to eventually move into our teams and this will help with that immensely.
Development Football Sessions
At our development sessions this week we were working on 2v1’s with the main focus on the attackers. This is so that the players know how to use their teammates in order to get past a defender to score.
We always want to implement match scenarios into our activities to make sure that if they eventually move into our teams, it is important that they know how to tackle different scenarios. Coming up we have our trials for our teams where we hope to see so many of our development superstars. Trials are a time for the children to show how much they have grown during our development sessions. We cannot wait to see just how many can make it into our teams for next year!
Our trial date will be the 14th May at Lea Valley School, trialling for teams from U7 to U16. This is a very exciting time at Pro Elite and we hope to see so many development players there!
Teams Sessions
We just completed the penultimate match week before the Playoffs start and things are heating up! We are so excited for this weekend as there is so many teams that can still make the Playoffs in different leagues!
GAME OF THE WEEK:
Pro Elite Thunder 3-2 Pro Elite Celtics
WHAT A GAME! This game saw the Thunder go into the playoff places before the final week of the regular season. It was an amazing game that saw action throughout! The Thunder came out on top but the Celtics had a fantastic game and made it very tough for their opponents. Player Of The Game: Elijah P – The double goalscorer helped his team to victory and had an amazing game throughout! His coach was very proud of him!
Keep up to date with our league tables, top goal scorers and fixtures below!
Our Trip To Watford
This week we took a group of U11s to play against Watford’s Professional Academy! It was an amazing opportunity for the boys who did themselves proud! It was a surreal experience for the boys who actually saw some of the first team as well before their game that evening. We played at the Watford training ground and played in an amazing facility! It is fantastic for the boys to see the level that a professional academy plays at. It was a very good game in which we had so many great moments. Hopefully, we can play more games against professional academies soon!
